PRODUCER - CH 7 FIFA WOMEN’S WORLD CUP HIGHLIGHTS SHOW JULY 2023 - AUGUST 2023
Working in a small team, Lavender lead the production for the show. The production entailed a daily highlights show with a rotating panel of expert guests, stadium vox pops and pre-recorded educational segments — all of which Lavender oversaw.
The Highlights Show - hosted by Mel McLaughlin - was part of Channel 7’s record-breaking coverage of the event.
PRODUCER - LIBERTY A-LEAGUE DUB ZONE 2022/23 SEASON
Lavender worked as social producer on the Liberty A-League’s debut season of Dub Zone — a live, interactive show that featured simultaneous matches and an in-studio panel.
Throughout the season, she played a key role in incorporating a social and interactive element to the show that was highly praised by the audience, and oversaw all live guest interviews.
HOST/PRODUCER - ABC SPORT AND SPICE PODCAST ONGOING
Hosting and producing the weekly ABC Sport and Spice podcast. Duties include sourcing guests, planning episodes and editing social clips.
HOST/PRODUCER - KNIGHTS HQ PODCAST ONGOING
Hosting and producing the Newcastle Knights’ club-owned podcast Knights HQ. Duties include planning episodes, interviewing guests and game analysis.
PRODUCER - HIA BUILT DIFFERENT PODCAST 2023
In this role, Lavender handled the production and show-running of the Housing Industry Association’s first podcast - Built Different. She sourced and booked guests, planned episode topics, scripts and produced the show to fit the client’s needs.
SENIOR JOURNALIST AND PRODUCER - JUNKEE/AWOL OCTOBER 2021 - JANUARY 2023
In her time at Junkee, Lavender quickly progressed from journalist to senior journalist, and eventually served as an interim editor. As a senior political reporter, she covered the 2022 Federal Election and travelled to Canberra to cover the Federal Budget — participating in the Budget Lockup.
She also flexed across other areas of the company, working on creative pitches for native content and partnerships, and working as a travel writer — which saw her travel to England and Singapore on branded trips with tourism boards.

A key role in Lavender’s career, in her time at Pedestrian Group Lavender did everything from the evening/nights shift, to early mornings — working across Pedestrian.TV, Lifehacker, Gizmodo, Kotaku and Lifehacker. She produced countless viral articles, served as the Instagram meme queen and helped build brand relationships.
When she moved to Gizmodo, she worked as a tech and gaming journalist, where she maintained relationships with industry figures, fetched exclusive scoops and took on editor duties as needed.
